BMW 3 Series Faulty Lock

This customer in Adlington contacted us as their BMW 5 Series wouldn’t unlock with the key blade like it usually does.😣

We examined the lock & discovered that the key would turn freely in the locking direction, but wouldn’t turn in the unlocking direction🤔, this was due to a slightly misaligned clip behind the lock, which wasn’t an issue when locking the car, but was jamming up the mechanism when turned to the unlock position.ℹ️

We removed the locking mechanism from the door, gave it a good clean & re-lubricated it all before reseating the clip back into the right position. We then reinstalled everything before testing it for a final time, leaving our customer with a working lock once again.✅
