Door Tough To Lock / Key Getting Stuck

This customer in Edenfield got in contact as her back door was extremely difficult to lock, with the key getting stuck when trying to lock the door.

We found that the cam follower in the gearbox had cracked & split into a few pieces, which were jamming up the internal mechanisms inside the box. The Euro cylinder lock was also causing some issues due to some worn pins.🥲

We replaced the broken gearbox & lock with higher quality versions before realigning the door to ensure the mechanism isn’t being stressed by the hooks binding on the strikeplate, leaving this customer relieved that they don’t have to run around the outside of their house in their dressing gown to lock the door anymore!😆
