UPVC Door Re-Alignment & Handle Replacement

This customer in #Brandlesholme contacted us as their door handle had been accidentally snapped off by a delivery driver🚛📦. We got the handle replaced before figuring out the reason for the handle breaking; 9 times out of 10 there is a reason things break, very rarely is it caused by regular wear and tear.

We noticed how badly the door was catching on the strike plate at the bottom, and noticed that it had dropped due to some loose fixing screws in the top hinge along with being asymmetrically misaligned.

We removed the top hinge from the door and reinstalled it with some thicker screws to ensure it stays put, along with re-aligning all of the hinges & strike plates to ensure the door operates correctly!

Door is now working perfectly again.✅
