Composite Door Squeaking & Draughty

This customer in Bury contacted us as their composite front door was letting a rather large draught in to the house, along with the hinges being extremely noisy; squeaking whenever the door was opened or closed.🙄

We examined the door and noticed that the hinges had been adjusted incorrectly, causing the hinge edge of the door to rub on the frame which was causing the irritating squeaking noise.

They were so badly adjusted that this was also the cause for the draught - There was a huge gap on the handle side of the door which was allowing the cold air to enter.😬

We got the door re-aligned & working perfectly once again - Saving our customer money not only in door repairs by preventing the gearbox from failing, but also on heating bills as they no longer need to heat the street!😁
