Key Won't Go In Lock / Spinning In Lock

This Customer contacted us on Sunday morning as they couldn’t get into their house due to the key either not going fully into the lock, or sometimes it would just spin in the lock without unlocking the door.😖

Luckily, they had access to a back door they could use for the time being, however we still attended as soon as possible (in the later hours of Sunday morning) to get the fault resolved for them.

We managed to pop the door open after some educated fiddling with the pins, then removed the lock to find one of the circlips had deformed. We replaced the faulty lock with a brand new Anti-Snap, Anti-Pick, Anti-Drill Lock before making sure it worked correctly.✅

However, when things break; there is usually an underlying cause for it. In this case, the gearbox was starting to become stiff & hard to operate. This is what caused the lock to break, so we recommended a gearbox replacement to the customer who agreed. We identified the gearbox & will be round to install the new one as soon as possible!👌
