UPVC Door Re-Alignment & Gearbox Replacement

This customer in Tonge Moor contacted us as they couldn’t lock their UPVC front door. ❌🚪

Whilst diagnosing the door, we discovered the issue to be the door dropping out of alignment. This was causing the hooks & rollers in the mechanism to bind on the strike plate, preventing the mechanism from throwing the hooks all the way - This was why the key wouldn’t turn fully to lock the door.⚠️

Unfortunately, the gearbox had also been damaged from the extra stress of operating whilst binding with the strike plate - Meaning we needed to replace the gearbox aswell.

After installing a new genuine replacement gearbox, a door re-alignment, & strike adjustment; the customers door is back to perfect once again. Another door fixed & another happy customer!😁✅
