Window Won't Open

This customer asked us to have a look at their bathroom window which was stuck closed & refusing to open, it was also making a crunching noise when they tried to open it. Needless to say, this isn’t normal😆.

We attempted to manipulate the mechanism through the frame, however it was far too tight to get to the rollers. So we removed the glass from the frame, which gave us enough room to manipulate the rollers into the open position, before popping the window open and removing the mechanism to identify it.

The mechanism had failed due to the window being misaligned, which was causing the rollers to grind on the strike plates, eventually causing the gears on the inside to crack & break up.😬

We reinstalled the glass & realigned the window with some toe & heel magic before identifying the mechanism and replacing it with a brand new one👌

Another window fixed, another happy customer!😁
